Bio:Richard DePiero is the US head of Sompo Pro which provides solutions for Cyber, Technology, MPL, A&E, MPL and Lawyers Indemnity. Richard joined Sompo International in 2019 as the Product head of Cyber Liability. In his role he is responsible for product development, setting the appetite, creating underwriting standards through assessing risk, industry forecasting, and portfolio management. Richard is a frequent speaker at industry events.
Prior to joining Sompo International, Richard worked at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions as the Head of North American Cyber Liability, Technology, Media Errors and Omissions underwriting for four years. Prior to that he worked at Marsh USA where he led the East Zone placement brokers for large commercial clients in the FINPRO Center of Excellence. In this role he served as a national resource for clients and colleagues focusing on Cyber Liability, Technology/Telecom Liability, Media and Miscellaneous Liability with responsibilities including advising clients on risk identification, programs design, manuscripting policy language, and pricing.
